Our Eco-Friendly Garage and Workshop in Gurgaon by Prem Singh Bantwal

We are operating a workshop for automobiles and small trucks in Gurgaon, India for the past 10 years and do extensive repairs and maintenance of most types of salons, SUVs, pickups, and vans. After our repair work is completed, the company policy to clean and wash the vehicles before handing it over to the customer. It is not something that is done by other workshops, but we have started this trend many years ago, and it has been appreciated by our customers.

In earlier times, it was quite difficult to offer this type of service, as it would take a lot of manpower and resources to do something for which we were not expecting to be paid. However, with the advent of the high pressure washerin India, we are now able to provide this service without eating into our profits too much. With this type of machine we are able to remove ingrained dirt and grease, especially on the undersides of the vehicles that come into the workshop. India roads being very dusty in most parts of the country, the collection of dust, grease, water, and oil thrown up would invariably coat working surfaces leading to reduced efficiency and frequent breakdowns.

The cold water pressurecleaner we are using at the moment is very portable and can be transported easily to where it is needed urgently without too much trouble as it weighs just 13 kg. All it needs is an electrical socket and a regular supply of water to start working. We have just installed a water recovery system to recover the used water, which is they cleaned and recycled leading to substantially reduced water bills annually. Although the initial outlay was a little more than we expected, we are doing out bit to be an eco-friendly workshop.

Keeping Our Little Students Safe and the School Clean by Shanti Benjamin

My name is Shanti Benjamin and my husband and I have been running a children’s nursery and Kindergarten school in a quiet suburb of Bangalore for the past 10 years. We have around 20 to 25 children who attend our school. We have 3 teachers who help in keeping the children occupied as well as a couple of helpers who do odd jobs and look after the children in between classes.

 Because of the inquisitive nature of children, we have to be very careful about the cleanliness in the school, for which we have bought a commercial vacuumcleaner which was recommended to us, to help clean the school and its surroundings.  The machine has been a godsend to us, as we do not have to employ anyone special to clean the classrooms, and our staff has been trained to use the vacuum cleaner by the salespeople when they brought the machine to the school. They instructed us on how to use the different attachments that were provided along with the vacuum cleaner, and also showed us how the squeegee attaches to the front of the machine to collect any spillage.

We pride ourselves in providing a clean working and playing environment for the children as we feel that it is vital for the safety and health of both our staff and the children, and to this effect we are proud that we have this excellent machine to help us reach those goals. With the large tank capacity, the commercial carpetcleaner can clean the school very efficiently and fast. It was an expensive purchase for us, but even the parents have noticed how spick and span the school is when they drop off and collect their children, and this has resulted in some welcome free publicity for the school.
